Chapter 30
1Now you shall make an altar as a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood. 2Its length shall be a cubit, and its width a cubit; it shall be square, and its height shall be two cubits; its horns shall be of one piece with it. 3You shall overlay it with pure gold, its top and its sides all around, and its horns; and you shall make a gold molding all around for it. 4You shall also make two gold rings for it under its molding; you shall make them on its two sides—on opposite sides—and they shall be holders for poles with which to carry it. 5And you shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 6You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the atoning cover that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you. 7Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it; he shall burn it every morning when he trims the lamps. 8And when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense. There shall be perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations. 9You shall not offer any strange incense on this altar, or burnt offering, or meal offering; and you shall not pour out a drink offering on it. 10However, Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year; he shall make atonement on it with the blood of the sin offering of atonement once a year throughout your generations. It is most holy to the Lord.'
11The Lord also spoke to Moses, saying,
12When you take a census of the sons of Israel to count them, then each one of them shall give a ransom for himself to the Lord, when you count them, so that there will be no plague among them when you count them.
13This is what everyone who is counted shall give: half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary (the shekel is twenty gerahs), half a shekel as a contribution to the Lord.
14Everyone who is counted, from twenty years old and over, shall give the contribution to the Lord.
15The rich shall not pay more, and the poor shall not pay less, than the half shekel, when you give the contribution to the Lord to make atonement for yourselves.
16And you shall take the atonement money from the sons of Israel and give it for the service of the tent of meeting, so that it may be a memorial for the sons of Israel before the Lord, to make atonement for yourselves.'
17Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
18You shall also make a basin of bronze, with its base of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and you shall put water in it.
19Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it;
20when they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water, so that they do not die; or when they approach the altar to minister, by offering up in smoke a fire sacrifice to the Lord.
21So they shall wash their hands and their feet, so that they do not die; and it shall be a permanent statute for them, for Aaron and his descendants throughout their generations.'
22Moreover, the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
23Take also for yourself the finest of spices: of liquid myrrh five hundred shekels, and of fragrant cinnamon half as much, 250, and of fragrant cane 250,
24and of cassia 500, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and of olive oil a hin.
25You shall make from these a holy anointing oil, a fragrant mixture of ointments, the work of a perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil.
26And you shall anoint the tent of meeting with it, and the ark of the testimony,
27and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,
28and the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin and its stand.
29You shall also consecrate them, so that they may be most holy; whatever touches them shall be holy.
30And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, so that they may serve as priests to Me.
31Furthermore, you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.
32It shall not be poured on anyone’s body, nor shall you make any like it in the same proportions; it is holy, and it shall be holy to you.
33Whoever mixes any like it or whoever puts any of it on a layman shall be cut off from his people.’?'
34Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Take for yourself spices—stacte, onycha, and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; there shall be an equal part of each.
35You shall make incense from it all, a skillful mixture, the work of a perfumer, salted, pure, and holy.
36And you shall crush some of it very fine, and put part of it in front of the testimony in the tent of meeting where I will meet with you; it shall be most holy to you.

11And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
12When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.
13This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD.
14Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.
15The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.
16And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.
17And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
18Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
19For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
20When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the LORD:
21So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
22Moreover the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
24And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:
25And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.
26And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,
27And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,
28And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.
29And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.
30And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
31And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
32Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
33Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.
34And the LORD said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:
35And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:
36And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.

1"You are to make an altar for the burning of incense; make it of acacia wood. 2It must be square, eighteen inches long and eighteen inches wide; it must be thirty-six inches high. Its horns must be of one piece with it. 3Overlay its top, all around its sides, and its horns with pure gold; make a gold molding all around it. 4Make two gold rings for it under the molding on two of its sides; put these on opposite sides of it to be holders for the poles to carry it with. 5Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.
6"You are to place the altar in front of the curtain by the ark of the testimony--in front of the mercy seat that is over the testimony--where I will meet with you.
7Aaron must burn fragrant incense on it; he must burn it every morning when he tends the lamps.
8When Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he must burn incense. There is to be an incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.
9You must not offer unauthorized incense on it, or a burnt or grain offering; you are not to pour a drink offering on it.
11The Lord spoke to Moses:
12"When you take a census of the Israelites to register them, each of the men must pay a ransom for his life to the Lord as they are registered. Then no plague will come on them as they are registered.
13Everyone who is registered must pay half a shekel according to the sanctuary shekel (twenty gerahs to the shekel). This half shekel is a contribution to the Lord.
14Each man who is registered, twenty years old or more, must give this contribution to the Lord.
15The wealthy may not give more and the poor may not give less than half a shekel when giving the contribution to the Lord to atone for your lives.
16Take the atonement price from the Israelites and use it for the service of the tent of meeting. It will serve as a reminder for the Israelites before the Lord to atone for your lives."
17The Lord spoke to Moses:
18"Make a bronze basin for washing and a bronze stand for it. Set it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
19Aaron and his sons must wash their hands and feet from the basin.
20Whenever they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar to minister by burning a food offering to the Lord, they must wash with water so that they will not die.
21They must wash their hands and feet so that they will not die; this is to be a permanent statute for them, for Aaron and his descendants throughout their generations."
22The Lord spoke to Moses:
23"Take for yourself the finest spices: 12 1/2 pounds of liquid myrrh, half as much (6 1/4 pounds) of fragrant cinnamon, 6 1/4 pounds of fragrant cane,
2412 1/2 pounds of cassia (by the sanctuary shekel), and a gallon of olive oil.
25Prepare from these a holy anointing oil, a scented blend, the work of a perfumer; it will be holy anointing oil.
26"With it you are to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony,
27the table with all its utensils, the lampstand with its utensils, the altar of incense,
28the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its stand.
29Consecrate them and they will be especially holy. Whatever touches them will be consecrated.
30Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate them to serve me as priests.
31"Tell the Israelites: This will be my holy anointing oil throughout your generations.
32It must not be used for ordinary anointing on a person's body, and you must not make anything like it using its formula. It is holy, and it must be holy to you.
33Anyone who blends something like it or puts some of it on an unauthorized person must be cut off from his people."
34The Lord said to Moses, "Take fragrant spices: stacte, onycha, and galbanum; the spices and pure frankincense are to be in equal measures.
35Prepare expertly blended incense from these; it is to be seasoned with salt, pure and holy.
36Grind some of it into a fine powder and put some in front of the testimony in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It must be especially holy to you.

Chapter 30
1Then make another altar of acacia wood for burning incense. 2Make it 18 inches square and 36 inches high, with horns at the corners carved from the same piece of wood as the altar itself. 3Overlay the top, sides, and horns of the altar with pure gold, and run a gold molding around the entire altar. 4Make two gold rings, and attach them on opposite sides of the altar below the gold molding to hold the carrying poles. 5Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 6Place the incense altar just outside the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant, in front of the Ark’s cover — the place of atonement — that covers the tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant. I will meet with you there.
7Every morning when Aaron maintains the lamps, he must burn fragrant incense on the altar.
8And each evening when he lights the lamps, he must again burn incense in the Lord’s presence. This must be done from generation to generation.
9Do not offer any unholy incense on this altar, or any burnt offerings, grain offerings, or liquid offerings.
11Then the Lord said to Moses,
12Whenever you take a census of the people of Israel, each man who is counted must pay a ransom for himself to the Lord. Then no plague will strike the people as you count them.
13Each person who is counted must give a small piece of silver as a sacred offering to the Lord. (This payment is half a shekel, based on the sanctuary shekel, which equals twenty gerahs.)
14All who have reached their twentieth birthday must give this sacred offering to the Lord.
15When this offering is given to the Lord to purify your lives, making you right with him, the rich must not give more than the specified amount, and the poor must not give less.
16Receive this ransom money from the Israelites, and use it for the care of the Tabernacle. It will bring the Israelites to the Lord’s attention, and it will purify your lives.'
17Then the Lord said to Moses,
18Make a bronze washbasin with a bronze stand. Place it between the Tabernacle and the altar, and fill it with water.
19Aaron and his sons will wash their hands and feet there.
20They must wash with water whenever they go into the Tabernacle to appear before the Lord and when they approach the altar to burn up their special gifts to the Lord — or they will die!
21They must always wash their hands and feet, or they will die. This is a permanent law for Aaron and his descendants, to be observed from generation to generation.'
22Then the Lord said to Moses,
23Collect choice spices — 12 1/2 pounds of pure myrrh, 6 1/4 pounds of fragrant cinnamon, 6 1/4 pounds of fragrant calamus,
24and 12 1/2 pounds of cassia — as measured by the weight of the sanctuary shekel. Also get one gallon of olive oil.
25Like a skilled incense maker, blend these ingredients to make a holy anointing oil.
26Use this sacred oil to anoint the Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant,
27the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and all its accessories, the incense altar,
28the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the washbasin with its stand.
29Consecrate them to make them absolutely holy. After this, whatever touches them will also become holy.
30Anoint Aaron and his sons also, consecrating them to serve me as priests.
31And say to the people of Israel, ‘This holy anointing oil is reserved for me from generation to generation.
32It must never be used to anoint anyone else, and you must never make any blend like it for yourselves. It is holy, and you must treat it as holy.
33Anyone who makes a blend like it or anoints someone other than a priest will be cut off from the community.’'
34Then the Lord said to Moses, 'Gather fragrant spices — resin droplets, mollusk shell, and galbanum — and mix these fragrant spices with pure frankincense, weighed out in equal amounts.
35Using the usual techniques of the incense maker, blend the spices together and sprinkle them with salt to produce a pure and holy incense.
36Grind some of the mixture into a very fine powder and put it in front of the Ark of the Covenant, where I will meet with you in the Tabernacle. You must treat this incense as most holy.

24and 500 of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil.
25And you shall make of these a sacred anointing oil blended as by the perfumer; it shall be a holy anointing oil.
26With it you shall anoint the tent of meeting and the ark of the testimony,
27and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense,
28and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils and the basin and its stand.
29You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy. Whatever touches them will become holy.
30You shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests.
31And you shall say to the people of Israel, ‘This shall be my holy anointing oil throughout your generations.

34The LORD said to Moses, “Take sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum, sweet spices with pure frankincense (of each shall there be an equal part),
35and make an incense blended as by the perfumer, seasoned with salt, pure and holy.
36You shall beat some of it very small, and put part of it before the testimony in the tent of meeting where I shall meet with you. It shall be most holy for you.

Chapter 30
1Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense. 2It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high --its horns of one piece with it. 3Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it. 4Make two gold rings for the altar below the molding--two on each of the opposite sides--to hold the poles used to carry it. 5Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 6Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law--before the atonement cover that is over the tablets of the covenant law--where I will meet with you.
7Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps.
8He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the LORD for the generations to come.
9Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it.
10Once a year Aaron shall make atonement on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering for the generations to come. It is most holy to the LORD.'
11Then the LORD said to Moses,
12When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the LORD a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them.
13Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel, according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the LORD.
14All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the LORD.
15The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less when you make the offering to the LORD to atone for your lives.
16Receive the atonement money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the tent of meeting. It will be a memorial for the Israelites before the LORD, making atonement for your lives.'
17Then the LORD said to Moses,
18Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.

23Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant calamus,
24500 shekels of cassia--all according to the sanctuary shekel--and a hin of olive oil.
25Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil.
26Then use it to anoint the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law,
27the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense,

36Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.

24five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil.
25And you shall make from these a holy anointing oil, an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil.
26With it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting and the ark of the Testimony;
27the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense;
28the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base.
29You shall consecrate them, that they may be most holy; whatever touches them must be holy.
30And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests.
31“And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations.
32It shall not be poured on man’s flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you.
33Whoever compounds any like it, or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be cut off from his people.’ ”
34And the Lord said to Moses: “Take sweet spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, and pure frankincense with these sweet spices; there shall be equal amounts of each.
35You shall make of these an incense, a compound according to the art of the perfumer, salted, pure, and holy.
36And you shall beat some of it very fine, and put some of it before the Testimony in the tabernacle of meeting where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you.
