Exodus 28:8-11
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 28
8
The skillfully woven band of its overlay, which is on it, shall be like its workmanship, of the same material: of gold, of violet and purple and scarlet
material
and fine twisted linen.
9
And you shall take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel,
10
six of their names on the one stone and the names of the remaining six on the other stone, according to their birth.
11
As a jeweler engraves a signet, you shall engrave the two stones according to the names of the sons of Israel; you shall set them in filigree settings of gold.
King James Version
Chapter 28
8
And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9
And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
10
Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.
11
With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 28
8
The artistically woven waistband that is on the ephod must be of one piece, according to the same workmanship of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and of finely spun linen.
9
"Take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of Israel’s sons:
10
six of their names on the first stone and the remaining six names on the second stone, in the order of their birth.
11
Engrave the two stones with the names of Israel’s sons as a gem cutter engraves a seal. Mount them, surrounded with gold filigree settings.
New Living Translation
Chapter 28
8
The decorative sash will be made of the same materials: finely woven linen embroidered with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread.
9
Take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the tribes of Israel.
10
Six names will be on each stone, arranged in the order of the births of the original sons of Israel.
11
Engrave these names on the two stones in the same way a jeweler engraves a seal. Then mount the stones in settings of gold filigree.
English Standard Version

You shall take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel,
10
six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the remaining six on the other stone, in the order of their birth.
