15You shall make a breastpiece of judgment, the work of a skilled embroiderer; like the work of the ephod you shall make it: of gold, of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen you shall make it.
16It shall be square and folded double, a span in length and a span in width.
17And you shall mount on it four rows of stones; the first row shall be a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald;

15Then, with great skill and care, make a chestpiece to be worn for seeking a decision from God. Make it to match the ephod, using finely woven linen embroidered with gold and with blue, purple, and scarlet thread.
16Make the chestpiece of a single piece of cloth folded to form a pouch nine inches square.
17Mount four rows of gemstones on it. The first row will contain a red carnelian, a pale-green peridot, and an emerald.
