Chapter 25

15The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it. 16You shall put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.
17And you shall make an atoning cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long and one and a half cubits wide. 18You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work at the two ends of the atoning cover.

17And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. 18And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.

Chapter 25

15These carrying poles must stay inside the rings; never remove them. 16When the Ark is finished, place inside it the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, which I will give to you.
17Then make the Ark’s cover — the place of atonement — from pure gold. It must be 45 inches long and 27 inches wide. 18Then make two cherubim from hammered gold, and place them on the two ends of the atonement cover.
