So innocent blood will not be shed in the midst of your land which the
Lord
your God is giving you as an inheritance, and guilt for bloodshed will
not
be on you.
11
But if there is a person who hates his neighbor, and waits in ambush for him and rises up against him and strikes him so that he dies, and he flees to one of these cities,

thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

your God is giving you as an inheritance.

But if someone hates his neighbor, lies in ambush for him, attacks him, and strikes him fatally, and flees to one of these cities,

That way you will prevent the death of innocent people in the land the
Lord
your God is giving you as your special possession. You will not be held responsible for the death of innocent people.

But suppose someone is hostile toward a neighbor and deliberately ambushes and murders him and then flees to one of the cities of refuge.
