Acts 25:18-19
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
18
When the accusers stood up, they did not
begin
bringing any charges against him of crimes that I suspected,
19
but they
simply
had some points of disagreement with him about their own religion and about a dead man, Jesus, whom Paul asserted to be alive.
King James Version
Chapter 25
18
Against whom when the accusers stood up, they brought none accusation of such things as I supposed:
19
But had certain questions against him of their own superstition, and of one Jesus, which was dead, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 25
18
The accusers stood up but brought no charge against him of the evils I was expecting.
19
Instead they had some disagreements with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, a dead man Paul claimed to be alive.
New Living Translation
Chapter 25
18
But the accusations made against him weren’t any of the crimes I expected.
19
Instead, it was something about their religion and a dead man named Jesus, who Paul insists is alive.
English Standard Version
Chapter 25
18
When the accusers stood up, they brought no charge in his case of such evils as I supposed.
19
Rather they had certain points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who was dead, but whom Paul asserted to be alive.
New International Version
Chapter 25
18
When his accusers got up to speak, they did not charge him with any of the crimes I had expected.
19
Instead, they had some points of dispute with him about their own religion and about a dead man named Jesus who Paul claimed was alive.
New King James Version
Chapter 25
18
When the accusers stood up, they brought no accusation against him of such things as I supposed,
19
but had some questions against him about their own religion and about a certain Jesus, who had died, whom Paul affirmed to be alive.
