Acts 18:16-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 18
16
And he drove them away from the judgment seat.
17
But they all took hold of Sosthenes, the leader of the synagogue, and
began
beating him in front of the judgment seat. And
yet
Gallio was not concerned about any of these things.
18
Now Paul, when he had remained many days longer, took leave of the brothers
and sisters
and sailed away to Syria, and Priscilla and Aquila were with him. Paul
first
had his hair cut at Cenchrea, for he was keeping a vow.
King James Version
Chapter 18
16
And he drave them from the judgment seat.
17
Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat
him
before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.
18
And Paul
after this
tarried
there
yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn
his
head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 18
16
So he drove them from the tribunal.
17
And they all seized Sosthenes, the leader of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal, but none of these things mattered to Gallio.
18
After staying for some time, Paul said farewell to the brothers and sisters and sailed away to Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila. He shaved his head at Cenchreae because of a vow he had taken.
New Living Translation
Chapter 18
16
And he threw them out of the courtroom.
17
The crowd then grabbed Sosthenes, the leader of the synagogue, and beat him right there in the courtroom. But Gallio paid no attention.
18
Paul stayed in Corinth for some time after that, then said good-bye to the brothers and sisters and went to nearby Cenchrea. There he shaved his head according to Jewish custom, marking the end of a vow. Then he set sail for Syria, taking Priscilla and Aquila with him.
English Standard Version

New International Version
Chapter 18
16
So he drove them off.
17
Then the crowd there turned on Sosthenes the synagogue leader and beat him in front of the proconsul; and Gallio showed no concern whatever.
18
Paul stayed on in Corinth for some time. Then he left the brothers and sisters and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila. Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchreae because of a vow he had taken.
