Acts 18:5-11
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 18
5
But when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul
began
devoting himself completely to the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
6
But when they resisted and blasphemed, he shook out his garments and said to them, 'Your blood
is
on your own heads! I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.'
7
Then he left the synagogue and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.
8
Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord together with his entire household; and many of the Corinthians, as they listened
to Paul,
were believing and being baptized.
9
And the Lord said to Paul by a vision at night, 'Do not be afraid
any longer,
but go on speaking and do not be silent;
10
for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.'
11
And he settled
there
for a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
King James Version
Chapter 18
5
And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ.
6
And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.
7
And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue.
8
And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.
9
Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
10
For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
11
And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 18
5
When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself to preaching the word and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Messiah.
6
When they resisted and blasphemed, he shook out his clothes and told them, "Your blood is on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."
7
So he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.
8
Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, along with his whole household. Many of the Corinthians, when they heard, believed and were baptized.
9
The Lord said to Paul in a night vision, "Don’t be afraid, but keep on speaking and don’t be silent.
10
For I am with you, and no one will lay a hand on you to hurt you, because I have many people in this city."
11
He stayed there a year and a half, teaching the word of God among them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 18
5
And after Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul spent all his time preaching the word. He testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.
6
But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said, 'Your blood is upon your own heads — I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.'
7
Then he left and went to the home of Titius Justus, a Gentile who worshiped God and lived next door to the synagogue.
8
Crispus, the leader of the synagogue, and everyone in his household believed in the Lord. Many others in Corinth also heard Paul, became believers, and were baptized.
9
One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision and told him, 'Don’t be afraid! Speak out! Don’t be silent!
10
For I am with you, and no one will attack and harm you, for many people in this city belong to me.'
11
So Paul stayed there for the next year and a half, teaching the word of God.
English Standard Version

And he left there and went to the house of a man named Titius Justus, a worshiper of God. His house was next door to the synagogue.
