Acts 14:17-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 14
17
yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.'
18
And
even by
saying these things,
only with
difficulty did they restrain the crowds from offering sacrifices to them.
King James Version
Chapter 14
17
Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18
And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 14
17
although he did not leave himself without a witness, since he did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons and filling you with food and your hearts with joy."
18
Even though they said these things, they barely stopped the crowds from sacrificing to them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 14
17
but he never left them without evidence of himself and his goodness. For instance, he sends you rain and good crops and gives you food and joyful hearts.'
18
But even with these words, Paul and Barnabas could scarcely restrain the people from sacrificing to them.
English Standard Version
Chapter 14
17
Yet he did not leave himself without witness, for he did good by giving you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”
18
Even with these words they scarcely restrained the people from offering sacrifice to them.
New International Version
Chapter 14
17
Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.'
18
Even with these words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.
New King James Version
Chapter 14
17
Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
18
And with these sayings they could scarcely restrain the multitudes from sacrificing to them.
