Moreover, the priest of Zeus, whose
temple
was just outside the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds.

But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard
about it,
they tore their robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying out

The apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their robes when they heard this and rushed into the crowd, shouting:

Now the temple of Zeus was located just outside the town. So the priest of the temple and the crowd brought bulls and wreaths of flowers to the town gates, and they prepared to offer sacrifices to the apostles.
