2 Peter 1:10-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 1
10Therefore, brothers and sisters, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choice of you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; 11for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.
12Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them and have been established in the truth which is present with you.
13I consider it right, as long as I am in this earthly dwelling, to stir you up by way of reminder,
14knowing that the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
King James Version
Chapter 1
10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
12Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
13Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 1
10Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election, because if you do these things you will never stumble. 11For in this way, entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly provided for you.
12Therefore I will always remind you about these things, even though you know them and are established in the truth you now have.
13I think it is right, as long as I am in this bodily tent, to wake you up with a reminder,
14since I know that I will soon lay aside my tent, as our Lord Jesus Christ has indeed made clear to me.
New Living Translation
Chapter 1
10So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. 11Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
12Therefore, I will always remind you about these things — even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught.
13And it is only right that I should keep on reminding you as long as I live.
14For our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that I must soon leave this earthly life,
