Then he said, 'At this season next year, you are going to embrace a son.' And she said, 'No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your servant.'

Now the woman conceived and gave birth to a son at that season the next year, as Elisha had told her.

When the child was grown, the day came that he went out to his father, to the reapers.

And he said to his father, 'My head, my head!' And

said to his servant, 'Carry him to his mother.'

And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.

And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.

And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.

Suddenly he complained to his father, "My head! My head! "His father told his servant, "Carry him to his mother."

Next year at this time you will be holding a son in your arms!' 'No, my lord!' she cried. 'O man of God, don’t deceive me and get my hopes up like that.'

But sure enough, the woman soon became pregnant. And at that time the following year she had a son, just as Elisha had said.

One day when her child was older, he went out to help his father, who was working with the harvesters.
19
Suddenly he cried out, 'My head hurts! My head hurts!' His father said to one of the servants, 'Carry him home to his mother.'
