2 Kings 2:20-23

New American Standard Bible

Chapter 2

20 And he said, 'Bring me a new jar, and put salt in it.' So they brought it to him. 21 Then he went out to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, 'This is what the LORD says: ‘I have purified these waters; there shall not come from there death or unfruitfulness any longer.’?' 22 So the waters have been purified to this day, in accordance with the word of Elisha which he spoke.
23 Now he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up by the road, some young boys came out from the city and ridiculed him and said to him, 'Go up, you baldhead; go up, you baldhead!'
King James Version

Chapter 2

20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. 21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. 22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. 23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

No longer will death or unfruitfulness result from it.' " 22 Therefore, the water still remains healthy today according to the word that Elisha spoke.
23 From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking up the path, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, chanting, "Go up, baldy! Go up, baldy! "
