and he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the kings who
were
with him in Babylon.

So Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes, and had his meals in the king’s presence regularly all the days of his life;

And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;

And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.

He spoke kindly to him and set his throne over the thrones of the kings who were with him in Babylon.

So Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes, and he dined regularly in the presence of the king of Babylon for the rest of his life.
New Living Translation

He spoke kindly to Jehoiachin and gave him a higher place than all the other exiled kings in Babylon.
29
He supplied Jehoiachin with new clothes to replace his prison garb and allowed him to dine in the king’s presence for the rest of his life.

And he spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the kings who were with him in Babylon.

So Jehoiachin put off his prison garments. And every day of his life he dined regularly at the king 's table,
