And he made his son pass through the fire, interpreted signs, practiced divination, and used mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the
Lord
, provoking
Him
to anger.

Then he put the carved image of Asherah that he had made in the house of which the
Lord
had said to David and to his son Solomon, 'In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever.

And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of the
Lord
, to provoke him to anger.

And he set a graven image of the grove that he had made in the house, of which the
Lord
said to David, and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:

Manasseh set up the carved image of Asherah, which he made, in the temple that the

had spoken about to David and his son Solomon: "I will establish my name forever in this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel.

Manasseh also sacrificed his own son in the fire. He practiced sorcery and divination, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the
Lord
’s sight, arousing his anger.

had told David and his son Solomon: 'My name will be honored forever in this Temple and in Jerusalem — the city I have chosen from among all the tribes of Israel.
