Chapter 21

21For he walked entirely in the way that his father had walked, and served the idols that his father had served, and worshiped them. 22So he abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord. 23And the servants of Amon conspired against him and killed the king in his own house. 24Then the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place. 25Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? 26He was buried in his grave in the garden of Uzza, and his son Josiah became king in his place.

21And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them: 22And he forsook the Lord God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord. 23And the servants of Amon conspired against him, and slew the king in his own house. 24And the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead.
25Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 26And he was buried in his sepulchre in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his stead.

Chapter 21

21He walked in all the ways his father had walked; he served the idols his father had served, and he bowed in worship to them. 22He abandoned the Lord God of his ancestors and did not walk in the ways of the Lord.
23Amon’s servants conspired against him and put the king to death in his own house. 24The common people killed all who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah king in his place.
25The rest of the events of Amon’s reign, along with his accomplishments, are written in the Historical Record of Judah’s Kings. 26He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza, and his son Josiah became king in his place.

Chapter 21

21He followed the example of his father, worshiping the same idols his father had worshiped. 22He abandoned the Lord, the God of his ancestors, and he refused to follow the Lord’s ways.
23Then Amon’s own officials conspired against him and assassinated him in his palace. 24But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah the next king.
25The rest of the events in Amon’s reign and what he did are recorded in The Book of the History of the Kings of Judah. 26He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. Then his son Josiah became the next king.

23Amon’s officials conspired against him and assassinated the king in his palace. 24Then the people of the land killed all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah his son king in his place.
25As for the other events of Amon’s reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? 26He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza. And Josiah his son succeeded him as king.
