2 Kings 13:21-24
New American Standard Bible
King James Version
22But Hazael king of Syria oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz.
23And the Lord was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
24So Hazael king of Syria died; and Benhadad his son reigned in his stead.
Christian Standard Bible
22King Hazael of Aram oppressed Israel throughout the reign of Jehoahaz,
23but the Lord was gracious to them, had compassion on them, and turned toward them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was not willing to destroy them. Even now he has not banished them from his presence.
New Living Translation
22King Hazael of Aram had oppressed Israel during the entire reign of King Jehoahaz.
23But the Lord was gracious and merciful to the people of Israel, and they were not totally destroyed. He pitied them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And to this day he still has not completely destroyed them or banished them from his presence.
