2 Kings 10:31-33
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
31
But Jehu was not careful to walk in the Law of the
Lord
, the God of Israel, with all his heart; he did not desist from the sins of Jeroboam, into which he misled Israel.
32
In those days the
Lord
began to cut off
pieces
from Israel; and Hazael defeated
them
throughout the territory of Israel:
33
from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, the Reubenites, and the Manassites; from Aroer, which is by the Valley of the Arnon, that is, Gilead and Bashan.
King James Version
Chapter 10
31
But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the
Lord
God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.
32
In those days the
Lord
began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;
33
From Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 10
31
Yet Jehu was not careful to follow the instruction of the
Lord
God of Israel with all his heart. He did not turn from the sins that Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit.
32
In those days the
Lord
began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael defeated the Israelites throughout their territory
33
from the Jordan eastward: the whole land of Gilead—the Gadites, the Reubenites, and the Manassites—from Aroer which is by the Arnon Valley through Gilead to Bashan.
New Living Translation
Chapter 10
31
But Jehu did not obey the Law of the
Lord
, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He refused to turn from the sins that Jeroboam had led Israel to commit.
32
At about that time the
Lord
began to cut down the size of Israel’s territory. King Hazael conquered several sections of the country
33
east of the Jordan River, including all of Gilead, Gad, Reuben, and Manasseh. He conquered the area from the town of Aroer by the Arnon Gorge to as far north as Gilead and Bashan.
English Standard Version

Lord
, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam, which he made Israel to sin.
32
In those days the
Lord
began to cut off parts of Israel. Hazael defeated them throughout the territory of Israel:
33
from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the Valley of the Arnon, that is, Gilead and Bashan.
New International Version
Chapter 10
31
Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the
Lord
, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit.
32
In those days the
Lord
began to reduce the size of Israel. Hazael overpowered the Israelites throughout their territory
33
east of the Jordan in all the land of Gilead (the region of Gad, Reuben and Manasseh), from Aroer by the Arnon Gorge through Gilead to Bashan.
New King James Version
