1 Samuel 15:2-4
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 15
2
This is what the
Lord
of armies says: ‘I will punish Amalek
for
what he did to Israel, in that he obstructed him on the way while he was coming up from Egypt.
3
Now go and strike Amalek and completely destroy everything that he has, and do not spare him; but put to death both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’?'
4
Then Saul summoned the people and counted them in Telaim: two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men of Judah.
King James Version
Chapter 15
2
Thus saith the
Lord
of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
3
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
4
And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
Christian Standard Bible

Lord
of Armies says: ‘I witnessed what the Amalekites did to the Israelites when they opposed them along the way as they were coming out of Egypt.
3
Now go and attack the Amalekites and completely destroy everything they have. Do not spare them. Kill men and women, infants and nursing babies, oxen and sheep, camels and donkeys.’"
4
Then Saul summoned the troops and counted them at Telaim: two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men from Judah.
New Living Translation
Chapter 15

of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I have decided to settle accounts with the nation of Amalek for opposing Israel when they came from Egypt.
3
Now go and completely destroy the entire Amalekite nation — men, women, children, babies, cattle, sheep, goats, camels, and donkeys.'
4
So Saul mobilized his army at Telaim. There were 200,000 soldiers from Israel and 10,000 men from Judah.
