Chapter 15
13And even his mother Maacah, he also removed her from the position of queen mother, because she had made an abominable image as an Asherah; and Asa cut down her abominable image and burned it at the brook Kidron. 14But the high places were not eliminated; nevertheless Asa’s heart was wholly devoted to the Lord all his days. 15And he brought into the house of the Lord the holy gifts of his father and his own holy gifts: silver, gold, and valuable utensils.King James Version

13And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove; and Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt it by the brook Kidron. 14But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days. 15And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which himself had dedicated, into the house of the LORD, silver, and gold, and vessels. 16And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.Christian Standard Bible

13He also removed his grandmother Maacah from being queen mother because she had made an obscene image of Asherah. Asa chopped down her obscene image and burned it in the Kidron Valley. 14The high places were not taken away, but Asa was wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord his entire life. 15He brought his father's consecrated gifts and his own consecrated gifts into the Lord's temple: silver, gold, and utensils.New Living Translation
