1 Corinthians 7:20-22
New American Standard Bible
King James Version
Chapter 7
20Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called. 21Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. 22For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 7
20Let each of you remain in the situation in which he was called. 21Were you called while a slave? Don't let it concern you. But if you can become free, by all means take the opportunity. 22For he who is called by the Lord as a slave is the Lord's freedman. Likewise he who is called as a free man is Christ's slave.New Living Translation
Chapter 7
20Yes, each of you should remain as you were when God called you. 21Are you a slave? Don’t let that worry you — but if you get a chance to be free, take it. 22And remember, if you were a slave when the Lord called you, you are now free in the Lord. And if you were free when the Lord called you, you are now a slave of Christ.English Standard Version
Chapter 7
20Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called. 21Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.) 22For he who was called in the Lord as a bondservant is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a bondservant of Christ.New International Version
