to offer burnt offerings to the
Lord
on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to everything that is written in the Law of the
Lord
, which He commanded Israel.
41
With them
were
Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen, who were designated by name, to give thanks to the
Lord
, because His kindness is everlasting.
42
And with them
were
Heman and Jeduthun
with
trumpets and cymbals for those who
were to
play
them,
and
with
instruments
for
the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun for the gate.

To offer burnt offerings unto the
Lord
upon the altar of the burnt offering continually morning and evening, and to do according to all that is written in the law of the
Lord
, which he commanded Israel;
41
And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to the
Lord
, because his mercy endureth for ever;
42
And with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should make a sound, and with musical instruments of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were porters.

Heman and Jeduthun had with them trumpets and cymbals to play and musical instruments of God. Jeduthun’s sons were at the city gate.

They used their trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments to accompany their songs of praise to God. And the sons of Jeduthun were appointed as gatekeepers.
