Chapter 16
1And they brought in the ark of God and placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. 2When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord. 3Then he distributed to everyone of Israel, both men and women, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a raisin cake.
4He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of the Lord, to celebrate and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:
5Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with musical instruments, harps, and lyres; also Asaph played loud-sounding cymbals,
6and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel blew trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
8Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make His deeds known among the peoples.
9Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders.
10Boast in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the Lord be joyful.
11Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.
12Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth,
13 You descendants of Israel His servant, Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!
14He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
15Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,
16 The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac.
17He also confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,

1So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God. 2And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord. 3And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. 4And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel: 5Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom: and Jeiel with psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound with cymbals; 6Benaiah also and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God. 7Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. 8Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. 9Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. 10Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 11Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. 12Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 13O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. 14He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. 15Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; 16Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; 17And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 16

Then they offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings in God’s presence. 2When David had finished offering the burnt offerings and the fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord. 3Then he distributed to each and every Israelite, both men and women, a loaf of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake.
4David appointed some of the Levites to be ministers before the ark of the Lord, to celebrate the Lord God of Israel, and to give thanks and praise to him.
5Asaph was the chief and Zechariah was second to him. Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel played the harps and lyres, while Asaph sounded the cymbals
6and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel blew the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.
8Give thanks to the Lord; call on his name; proclaim his deeds among the peoples.
9Sing to him; sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works!
10Honor his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
11Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
12Remember the wondrous works he has done, his wonders, and the judgments he has pronounced,
13you offspring of Israel his servant, Jacob’s descendants—his chosen ones.
14He is the Lord our God; his judgments govern the whole earth.
15Remember his covenant forever— the promise he ordained for a thousand generations,
16the covenant he made with Abraham, swore to Isaac,
17and confirmed to Jacob as a decree, and to Israel as a permanent covenant:

1They brought the Ark of God and placed it inside the special tent David had prepared for it. And they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings to God. 2When he had finished his sacrifices, David blessed the people in the name of the Lord. 3Then he gave to every man and woman in all Israel a loaf of bread, a cake of dates, and a cake of raisins.
4David appointed the following Levites to lead the people in worship before the Ark of the Lord — to invoke his blessings, to give thanks, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel.
5Asaph, the leader of this group, sounded the cymbals. Second to him was Zechariah, followed by Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. They played the harps and lyres.
6The priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, played the trumpets regularly before the Ark of God’s Covenant.
8Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
9Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
10Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord.
11Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.
12Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given,
13you children of his servant Israel, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14He is the Lord our God. His justice is seen throughout the land.
15Remember his covenant forever — the commitment he made to a thousand generations.
16This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac.
