Chapter 14

9Now the Philistines had come and carried out a raid in the Valley of Rephaim. 10David inquired of God, saying, 'Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You hand them over to me?' Then the Lord said to him, 'Go up, for I will hand them over to you.'

9And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim. 10And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

9Now the Philistines had come and raided in the Valley of Rephaim,
10so David inquired of God, "Should I attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The Lord replied, "Attack, and I will hand them over to you."
