Chapter 12

24The sons of Judah who carried shield and spear numbered 6,800, equipped for war. 25From the sons of Simeon, valiant mighty men of war, 7,100. 26From the sons of Levi, 4,600. 27Now Jehoiada was the leader of the house of Aaron, and with him were 3,700, 28also Zadok, a young valiant mighty man, and from his father’s house, twenty-two captains. 29From the sons of Benjamin, Saul’s kinsmen, three thousand; for until now the majority of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul. 30From the sons of Ephraim 20,800, valiant mighty men, famous men in their fathers’ households.

24The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
25Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
26Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred. 27And Jehoiada was the leader of the Aaronites, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred; 28And Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father's house twenty and two captains.
29And of the children of Benjamin, the kindred of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept the ward of the house of Saul.
30And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous throughout the house of their fathers.

25From the Simeonites: 7,100 valiant warriors ready for war. 26From the Levites: 4,600 27in addition to Jehoiada, leader of the house of Aaron, with 3,700 men;
28and Zadok, a young valiant warrior, with 22 commanders from his father’s family.
29From the Benjaminites, the relatives of Saul: 3,000 (up to that time the majority of the Benjaminites maintained their allegiance to the house of Saul).

Chapter 12

24From the tribe of Judah, there were 6,800 warriors armed with shields and spears.
25From the tribe of Simeon, there were 7,100 brave warriors.
26From the tribe of Levi, there were 4,600 warriors. 27This included Jehoiada, leader of the family of Aaron, who had 3,700 under his command. 28This also included Zadok, a brave young warrior, with 22 members of his family who were all officers.
29From the tribe of Benjamin, Saul’s relatives, there were 3,000 warriors. Most of the men from Benjamin had remained loyal to Saul until this time.
30From the tribe of Ephraim, there were 20,800 brave warriors, each highly respected in his own clan.
