What does Numbers 25:3 mean?
ESV: So Israel yoked himself to Baal of Peor. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel.
NIV: So Israel yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor. And the Lord’s anger burned against them.
NASB: So Israel became followers of Baal of Peor, and the Lord was angry with Israel.
CSB: So Israel aligned itself with Baal of Peor, and the Lord’s anger burned against Israel.
