What does Exodus 12:7 mean?
ESV: "Then they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.
NIV: Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs.

Book Summary:
The book of Exodus establishes God's covenant relationship with the full-fledged nation of Israel. The descendants of Abraham prosper after settling in Egypt, only to be enslaved by a fearful, hateful Egyptian Pharaoh. God appoints Moses to lead the people out of this bondage.
