What does Deuteronomy 3:6 mean?
ESV: And we devoted them to destruction, as we did to Sihon the king of Heshbon, devoting to destruction every city, men, women, and children.
NIV: We completely destroyed them, as we had done with Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying every city—men, women and children.
NASB: We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city.
CSB: We completely destroyed them, as we had done to King Sihon of Heshbon, destroying the men, women, and children of every city.
NLT: We completely destroyed the kingdom of Bashan, just as we had destroyed King Sihon of Heshbon. We destroyed all the people in every town we conquered — men, women, and children alike.
KJV: And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city.
NKJV: And we utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children of every city.
