Chapter 9
3For Tyre built herself a fortress, And piled up silver like dust, And gold like the mud of the streets. 4Behold, the Lord will dispossess her And throw her wealth into the sea; And she will be consumed with fire. 5Ashkelon will see it and be afraid. Gaza too will writhe in great pain; Also Ekron, because her hope has been ruined. Moreover, the king will perish from Gaza, And Ashkelon will not be inhabited. 6And a people of mixed origins will live in Ashdod, And I will eliminate the pride of the Philistines.King James Version

3And Tyrus did build herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets. 4Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire. 5Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. 6And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.Christian Standard Bible

The Lord will impoverish her and cast her wealth into the sea; she herself will be consumed by fire. 5Ashkelon will see it and be afraid; Gaza too, and will writhe in great pain, as will Ekron, for her hope will fail. 3Tyre has built a strong fortress and has made silver and gold as plentiful as dust in the streets! 4But now the Lord will strip away Tyre’s possessions and hurl its fortifications into the sea, and it will be burned to the ground. 5The city of Ashkelon will see Tyre fall and will be filled with fear. Gaza will shake with terror, as will Ekron, for their hopes will be dashed. Gaza’s king will be killed, and Ashkelon will be deserted. 6Foreigners will occupy the city of Ashdod.
