Zechariah 9:2-5
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 9
2And Hamath also, which borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise. 3For Tyre built herself a fortress, And piled up silver like dust, And gold like the mud of the streets. 4Behold, the Lord will dispossess her And throw her wealth into the sea; And she will be consumed with fire. 5Ashkelon will see it and be afraid. Gaza too will writhe in great pain; Also Ekron, because her hope has been ruined. Moreover, the king will perish from Gaza, And Ashkelon will not be inhabited.King James Version
Chapter 9
2And Hamath also shall border thereby; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it be very wise. 3And Tyrus did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets. 4Behold, the Lord will cast her out, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire. 5Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 9
2and also against Hamath, which borders it, as well as Tyre and Sidon, though they are very shrewd. 3Tyre has built herself a fortress; she has heaped up silver like dust and gold like the dirt of the streets. 4Listen! The Lord will impoverish her and cast her wealth into the sea; she herself will be consumed by fire. 5Ashkelon will see it and be afraid; Gaza too, and will writhe in great pain, as will Ekron, for her hope will fail. There will cease to be a king in Gaza, and Ashkelon will become uninhabited.New Living Translation
Chapter 9
2Doom is certain for Hamath, near Damascus, and for the cities of Tyre and Sidon, though they are so clever. 3Tyre has built a strong fortress and has made silver and gold as plentiful as dust in the streets! 4But now the Lord will strip away Tyre’s possessions and hurl its fortifications into the sea, and it will be burned to the ground. 5The city of Ashkelon will see Tyre fall and will be filled with fear. Gaza will shake with terror, as will Ekron, for their hopes will be dashed. Gaza’s king will be killed, and Ashkelon will be deserted.English Standard Version

The king shall perish from Gaza; Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;New International Version
Chapter 9
2and on Hamath too, which borders on it, and on Tyre and Sidon, though they are very skillful. 3Tyre has built herself a stronghold; she has heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the dirt of the streets. 4But the Lord will take away her possessions and destroy her power on the sea, and she will be consumed by fire. 5Ashkelon will see it and fear; Gaza will writhe in agony, and Ekron too, for her hope will wither. Gaza will lose her king and Ashkelon will be deserted.New King James Version
