Zechariah 8:14-16
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 8
14
For this is what the
Lord
of armies says: ‘Just as I determined to do harm to you when your fathers provoked Me to anger,’ says the
Lord
of armies, ‘and I have not relented,
15
so I have again determined in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Do not fear!
16
These are the things which you shall do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace at your gates.
King James Version
Chapter 8
14
For thus saith the
Lord
of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the
Lord
of hosts, and I repented not:
15
So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16
These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 8
14
For the
Lord
of Armies says this: "As I resolved to treat you badly when your fathers provoked me to anger, and I did not relent," says the
Lord
of Armies,
15
"so I have resolved again in these days to do what is good to Jerusalem and the house of Judah. Don’t be afraid.
16
These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another; make true and sound decisions within your city gates.
New Living Translation
Chapter 8
14
For this is what the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies says: I was determined to punish you when your ancestors angered me, and I did not change my mind, says the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies.
15
But now I am determined to bless Jerusalem and the people of Judah. So don’t be afraid.
16
But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace.
English Standard Version
Chapter 8
14
For thus says the
Lord
of hosts: "As I purposed to bring disaster to you when your fathers provoked me to wrath, and I did not relent, says the
Lord
of hosts,
15
so again have I purposed in these days to bring good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah; fear not.
16
These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;
New International Version
Chapter 8
14
This is what the
Lord
Almighty says: "Just as I had determined to bring disaster on you and showed no pity when your ancestors angered me," says the
Lord
Almighty,
15
"so now I have determined to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid.
16
These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts;
New King James Version
Chapter 8
14
“For thus says the
Lord
of hosts:
‘Just as I determined to punish you
When your fathers provoked Me to wrath,’
Says the
Lord
of hosts,
‘And I would not relent,
15
So again in these days
I am determined to do good
To Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.
Do not fear.
16
These
are
the things you shall do:
Speak each man the truth to his neighbor;
Give judgment in your gates for truth, justice, and peace;
