Song of Solomon 7:5-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 7
5Your head crowns you like Carmel, And the flowing hair of your head is like purple threads; The king is captivated by your tresses. 6How beautiful and how delightful you are, My love, with all your delights! 7Your stature is like a palm tree, And your breasts are like its clusters. 8I said, ‘I will climb the palm tree, I will grasp its fruit stalks.’ Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, And the fragrance of your breath like apples,
10'I am my beloved’s, And his desire is for me.
11Come, my beloved, let’s go out to the country, Let’s spend the night in the villages.
12Let’s rise early and go to the vineyards; Let’s see whether the vine has grown And its buds have opened, And whether the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love.
13The mandrakes have given forth fragrance; And over our doors are all delicious fruits, New as well as old, Which I have saved for you, my beloved.
King James Version
Chapter 7
5Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries. 6How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights! 7This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes. 8I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples; 9And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.
10I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me.
11Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages.
12Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.
13The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.

Chapter 7
5Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, the hair of your head like purple cloth -- a king could be held captive in your tresses. 6How beautiful you are and how pleasant, my love, with such delights! 7Your stature is like a palm tree; your breasts are clusters of fruit. 8I said, "I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and the fragrance of your breath like apricots. 9Your mouth is like fine wine -- flowing smoothly for my love, gliding past my lips and teeth!
10I am my love's, and his desire is for me.
11Come, my love, let's go to the field; let's spend the night among the henna blossoms.
12Let's go early to the vineyards; let's see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my caresses.
13The mandrakes give off a fragrance, and at our doors is every delicacy, both new and old. I have treasured them up for you, my love.
New Living Translation
Chapter 7
5Your head is as majestic as Mount Carmel, and the sheen of your hair radiates royalty. The king is held captive by its tresses. 6Oh, how beautiful you are! How pleasing, my love, how full of delights! 7You are slender like a palm tree, and your breasts are like its clusters of fruit. 8I said, 'I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit.' May your breasts be like grape clusters, and the fragrance of your breath like apples.
9May your kisses be as exciting as the best wine, flowing gently over lips and teeth.
10I am my lover's, and he claims me as his own.
11Come, my love, let us go out to the fields and spend the night among the wildflowers.
12Let us get up early and go to the vineyards to see if the grapevines have budded, if the blossoms have opened, and if the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love.
13There the mandrakes give off their fragrance, and the finest fruits are at our door, new delights as well as old, which I have saved for you, my lover.
