New American Standard Bible

Chapter 7

5 Your head crowns you like Carmel, And the flowing hair of your head is like purple threads; The king is captivated by your tresses. 6 How beautiful and how delightful you are, My love, with all your delights! 7 Your stature is like a palm tree, And your breasts are like its clusters. 8 I said, ‘I will climb the palm tree, I will grasp its fruit stalks.’ Oh, may your breasts be like clusters of the vine, And the fragrance of your breath like apples,
9 And your mouth like the best wine!' 'It goes down smoothly for my beloved, Flowing gently through the lips of those who are asleep.
10 'I am my beloved’s, And his desire is for me. 11 Come, my beloved, let’s go out to the country, Let’s spend the night in the villages. 12 Let’s rise early and go to the vineyards; Let’s see whether the vine has grown And its buds have opened, And whether the pomegranates have bloomed. There I will give you my love.

Chapter 7

5 Thine head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thine head like purple; the king is held in the galleries. 6 How fair and how pleasant art thou, O love, for delights! 7 This thy stature is like to a palm tree, and thy breasts to clusters of grapes. 8 I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples; 9 And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine for my beloved, that goeth down sweetly, causing the lips of those that are asleep to speak.
10 I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me. 11 Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. 12 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves.

Chapter 7

5 Your head crowns you like Mount Carmel, the hair of your head like purple cloth -- a king could be held captive in your tresses. 6 How beautiful you are and how pleasant, my love, with such delights! 7 Your stature is like a palm tree; your breasts are clusters of fruit. 8 I said, "I will climb the palm tree and take hold of its fruit." May your breasts be like clusters of grapes, and the fragrance of your breath like apricots. 9 Your mouth is like fine wine -- flowing smoothly for my love, gliding past my lips and teeth!
10 I am my love's, and his desire is for me. 11 Come, my love, let's go to the field; let's spend the night among the henna blossoms. 12 Let's go early to the vineyards; let's see if the vine has budded, if the blossom has opened, if the pomegranates are in bloom. There I will give you my caresses.
