Romans 7:20-23
New American Standard Bible
21I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.
22For I joyfully agree with the law of God in the inner person,
23but I see a different law in the parts of my body waging war against the law of my mind, and making me a prisoner of the law of sin, the law which is in my body’s parts.
King James Version
Chapter 7
20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 7
20Now if I do what I do not want, I am no longer the one that does it, but it is the sin that lives in me. 21So I discover this law: When I want to do what is good, evil is present with me. 22For in my inner self I delight in God's law, 23but I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.New Living Translation
