But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to
that
form of teaching to which you were entrusted,
18
and after being freed from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

But thank God that, although you used to be slaves of sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching to which you were handed over,

and having been set free from sin, you became enslaved to righteousness.

Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you.

Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living.

But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,

and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
