Romans 3:3-4
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
3
What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?
4
Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person
be found
a liar, as it is written:
'SO THAT YOU ARE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS,
AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.'
King James Version
Chapter 3
3
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
3
What then? If some were unfaithful, will their unfaithfulness nullify God's faithfulness?
4
Absolutely not! Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar, as it is written:That you may be justified in your wordsand triumph when you judge.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
3
True, some of them were unfaithful; but just because they were unfaithful, does that mean God will be unfaithful?
4
Of course not! Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him,
'You will be proved right in what you say,
and you will win your case in court.'
English Standard Version
Chapter 3
3
What if some were unfaithful? Does their faithlessness nullify the faithfulness of God?
4
By no means! Let God be true though every one were a liar, as it is written, “That you may be justified in your words, and prevail when you are judged.”
New International Version
Chapter 3
3
What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God's faithfulness?
4
Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: 'So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.'
New King James Version
Chapter 3
3
For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect?
4
Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written:
“That You may be justified in Your words,
And may overcome when You are judged.”
