Romans 11:29-36
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 11
29for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, 31so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. 32For God has shut up all in disobedience, so that He may show mercy to all.
33Oh, the depth of the riches, both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!
34For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE Lord, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR?
35Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM, THAT IT WOULD BE PAID BACK TO HIM?
36For from Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
King James Version
Chapter 11
29For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
33O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?
35Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 11
29since God's gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable. 30As you once disobeyed God but now have received mercy through their disobedience, 31so they too have now disobeyed, resulting in mercy to you, so that they also may now receive mercy. 32For God has imprisoned all in disobedience so that he may have mercy on all.
33Oh, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and untraceable his ways!
34For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?
35And who has ever given to God, that he should be repaid?
36For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen.
New Living Translation
Chapter 11
29For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn. 30Once, you Gentiles were rebels against God, but when the people of Israel rebelled against him, God was merciful to you instead. 31Now they are the rebels, and God’s mercy has come to you so that they, too, will share in God’s mercy. 32For God has imprisoned everyone in disobedience so he could have mercy on everyone.English Standard Version
Chapter 11
29For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30For just as you were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy because of their disobedience, 31so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the mercy shown to you they also may now receive mercy. 32For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.New International Version
Chapter 11
29for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. 30Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, 31so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. 32For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
33Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
34Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?'
35Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?'
36For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
