Numbers 32:4-10

Chapter 32
4the land which the Lord conquered before the congregation of Israel, is a land for livestock, and your servants have livestock.' 5And they said, 'If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as our property; do not take us across the Jordan.'
6But Moses said to the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, 'Should your brothers go to war while you remain here?
7And why are you discouraging the sons of Israel from crossing over into the land which the Lord has given them?
8This is what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
9For when they went up to the Valley of Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the sons of Israel so that they did not go into the land which the Lord had given them.
10So the Lord’S anger burned on that day, and He swore, saying,

4Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle: 5Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan. 6And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here? 7And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the land which the LORD hath given them? 8Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the land. 9For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them. 10And the LORD'S anger was kindled the same time, and he sware, saying,Christian Standard Bible

4which the Lord struck down before the community of Israel, is good land for livestock, and your servants own livestock." 5They said, "If we have found favor with you, let this land be given to your servants as a possession. Don't make us cross the Jordan."
6But Moses asked the Gadites and Reubenites, "Should your brothers go to war while you stay here?
7Why are you discouraging the Israelites from crossing into the land the Lord has given them?
8That's what your ancestors did when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
9After they went up as far as Eshcol Valley and saw the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the Lord had given them.
10So the Lord's anger burned that day, and he swore an oath:

4The Lord has conquered this whole area for the community of Israel, and it is ideally suited for all our livestock. 5If we have found favor with you, please let us have this land as our property instead of giving us land across the Jordan River.'
6Do you intend to stay here while your brothers go across and do all the fighting?' Moses asked the men of Gad and Reuben.
7Why do you want to discourage the rest of the people of Israel from going across to the land the Lord has given them?
8Your ancestors did the same thing when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to explore the land.
9After they went up to the valley of Eshcol and explored the land, they discouraged the people of Israel from entering the land the Lord was giving them.
10Then the Lord was very angry with them, and he vowed,

7Why do you discourage the Israelites from crossing over into the land the LORD has given them?

9After they went up to the Valley of Eshkol and viewed the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the LORD had given them.
10The LORD's anger was aroused that day and he swore this oath:
