Numbers 32:18-22
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 32
18We will not return to our homes until every one of the sons of Israel has gained possession of his inheritance. 19But we will not have an inheritance with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan toward the east.'
20So Moses said to them, 'If you will do this, if you will arm yourselves before the Lord for the war,
21and all of you armed men cross over the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven His enemies out from Him,
22and the land is subdued before the Lord, then afterward you may return and be free of obligation toward the Lord and toward Israel, and this land shall be yours as property before the Lord.
King James Version
Chapter 32
18We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance. 19For we will not inherit with them on yonder side Jordan, or forward; because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side Jordan eastward.
20And Moses said unto them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the Lord to war,
21And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the Lord, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
22And the land be subdued before the Lord: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the Lord, and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the Lord.

Chapter 32
18We will not return to our homes until each of the Israelites has taken possession of his inheritance. 19Yet we will not have an inheritance with them across the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance will be across the Jordan to the east."
20Moses replied to them, "If you do this—if you arm yourselves for battle before the Lord,
21and every one of your armed men crosses the Jordan before the Lord until he has driven his enemies from his presence,
22and the land is subdued before the Lord —afterward you may return and be free from obligation to the Lord and to Israel. And this land will belong to you as a possession before the Lord.
New Living Translation
Chapter 32
18We will not return to our homes until all the people of Israel have received their portions of land. 19But we do not claim any of the land on the other side of the Jordan. We would rather live here on the east side and accept this as our grant of land.'
20Then Moses said, 'If you keep your word and arm yourselves for the Lord’s battles,
21and if your troops cross the Jordan and keep fighting until the Lord has driven out his enemies,
22then you may return when the Lord has conquered the land. You will have fulfilled your duty to the Lord and to the rest of the people of Israel. And the land on the east side of the Jordan will be your property from the Lord.
