Chapter 32

14Now behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, born of sinful men, to add still more to the burning anger of the Lord against Israel. 15For if you turn away from following Him, He will once more leave them in the wilderness, and you will destroy all these people.'
16Then they approached him and said, 'We will build sheepfolds for our livestock here and cities for our little ones;

14And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of the Lord toward Israel. 15For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness; and ye shall destroy all this people. 16And they came near unto him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones:

14And here you, a brood of sinners, stand in your fathers’ place adding even more to the Lord’s burning anger against Israel. 15If you turn back from following him, he will once again leave this people in the wilderness, and you will destroy all of them."
16Then they approached him and said, "We want to build sheep pens here for our livestock and cities for our dependents.

14But here you are, a brood of sinners, doing exactly the same thing! You are making the Lord even angrier with Israel. 15If you turn away from him like this and he abandons them again in the wilderness, you will be responsible for destroying this entire nation!'
16But they approached Moses and said, 'We simply want to build pens for our livestock and fortified towns for our wives and children.
