Chapter 31
15And Moses said to them, 'Have you spared all the women? 16Behold, they caused the sons of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to be unfaithful to the Lord in the matter of Peor, so that the plague took place among the congregation of the Lord! 17Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known a man intimately.King James Version

15Why have you let all the women live?' he demanded. 16These are the very ones who followed Balaam’s advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the Lord at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the Lord’s people. 17So kill all the boys and all the women who have had intercourse with a man.English Standard Version
