Numbers 15:39-41
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 15
39
It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the
Lord
, so that you will do them and not follow your own heart and your own eyes, which led you to prostitute yourselves,
40
so that you will remember and do all My commandments and be holy to your God.
41
I am the
Lord
your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the
Lord
your God.'
King James Version
Chapter 15
39
And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the
Lord
, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:
40
That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.
41
I am the
Lord
your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the
Lord
your God.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 15
39
These will serve as tassels for you to look at, so that you may remember all the
Lord
’s commands and obey them and not prostitute yourselves by following your own heart and your own eyes.
40
This way you will remember and obey all my commands and be holy to your God.
41
I am the
Lord
your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the
Lord
your God."
New Living Translation

39
When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the
Lord
instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do.
40
The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God.
41
I am the
Lord
your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt that I might be your God. I am the
Lord
your God!'
English Standard Version
Chapter 15
39
And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the
Lord
, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after.
40
So you shall remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.
41
I am the
Lord
your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am the
Lord
your God."
New International Version
Chapter 15
39
You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the
Lord
, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
40
Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.
41
I am the
Lord
your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the
Lord
your God.’ "
New King James Version
Chapter 15
39
And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and remember all the commandments of the
Lord
and do them, and that you
may
not follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined,
40
and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.
41
I
am
the
Lord
your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I
am
the
Lord
your God.”
