Numbers 12:4-12
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 12
4And the Lord suddenly said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, 'You three go out to the tent of meeting.' So the three of them went out. 5Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent; and He called Aaron and Miriam. When they had both come forward,
6He said, 'Now hear My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make Myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.
7 It is not this way for My servant Moses; He is faithful in all My household;
9And the anger of the Lord burned against them and He departed.
10But when the cloud had withdrawn from above the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. As Aaron turned toward Miriam, behold, she was leprous.
11Then Aaron said to Moses, 'Oh, my lord, I beg you, do not hold us responsible for this sin by which we have turned out to be foolish, and by which we have sinned.
12Oh, do not let her be like a dead person, whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother’s womb!'
King James Version
Chapter 12
4And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. 5And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. 6And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 9And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
10And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.
11And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
12Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.

Chapter 12
4Suddenly the Lord said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "You three come out to the tent of meeting." So the three of them went out. 5Then the Lord descended in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them came forward,
6he said: "Listen to what I say: If there is a prophet among you from the Lord, I make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.
7Not so with my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my household.
8I speak with him directly, openly, and not in riddles; he sees the form of the Lord.So why were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? "
9The Lord's anger burned against them, and he left.
10As the cloud moved away from the tent, Miriam's skin suddenly became diseased, resembling snow. When Aaron turned toward her, he saw that she was diseased
11and said to Moses, "My lord, please don't hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.
12Please don't let her be like a dead baby whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother's womb."
New Living Translation
Chapter 12
4So immediately the Lord called to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam and said, 'Go out to the Tabernacle, all three of you!' So the three of them went to the Tabernacle. 5Then the Lord descended in the pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle. 'Aaron and Miriam!' he called, and they stepped forward.
6And the Lord said to them, 'Now listen to what I say: 'If there were prophets among you, I, the Lord, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams.
7But not with my servant Moses. Of all my house, he is the one I trust.
8I speak to him face to face, clearly, and not in riddles! He sees the Lord as he is. So why were you not afraid to criticize my servant Moses?'
9The Lord was very angry with them, and he departed.
10As the cloud moved from above the Tabernacle, there stood Miriam, her skin as white as snow from leprosy. When Aaron saw what had happened to her,
11he cried out to Moses, 'Oh, my master! Please don’t punish us for this sin we have so foolishly committed.
12Don’t let her be like a stillborn baby, already decayed at birth.'

10When the cloud removed from over the tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, like snow. And Aaron turned toward Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.

Chapter 12
4At once the LORD said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, 'Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.' So the three of them went out. 5Then the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward,
6he said, 'Listen to my words: 'When there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams.
7But this is not true of my servant Moses; he is faithful in all my house.
8With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?'
10When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam's skin was leprous --it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,
11and he said to Moses, 'Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.
12Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother's womb with its flesh half eaten away.'

9So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed.
10And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.
11So Aaron said to Moses, “Oh, my lord! Please do not lay this sin on us, in which we have done foolishly and in which we have sinned.
12Please do not let her be as one dead, whose flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb!”
