Numbers 11:26-28
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 11
26
But two men had remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other, Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them (and they were among those who had been registered, but had not gone out to the tent), and they prophesied in the camp.
27
So a young man ran and informed Moses, and said, 'Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.'
28
Then Joshua the son of Nun, the personal servant of Moses from his youth, responded and said, 'My lord Moses, restrain them!'
King James Version
Chapter 11
26
But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: and the spirit rested upon them; and they were of them that were written, but went not out unto the tabernacle: and they prophesied in the camp.
27
And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp.
28
And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
Christian Standard Bible

A young man ran and reported to Moses, "Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp."
28
Joshua son of Nun, assistant to Moses since his youth, responded, "Moses, my lord, stop them!"
New Living Translation

Two men, Eldad and Medad, had stayed behind in the camp. They were listed among the elders, but they had not gone out to the Tabernacle. Yet the Spirit rested upon them as well, so they prophesied there in the camp.
27
A young man ran and reported to Moses, 'Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!'
28
Joshua son of Nun, who had been Moses’ assistant since his youth, protested, 'Moses, my master, make them stop!'
English Standard Version

28
And Joshua the son of Nun, the assistant of Moses from his youth, said, "My lord Moses, stop them."
