Chapter 11
1
Now the people became like those who complain of adversity in the ears of the
Lord
; and the
Lord
heard
them
and His anger was kindled, and the fire of the
Lord
burned among them and consumed
some
at the outskirts of the camp.
2
The people then cried out to Moses; and Moses prayed to the
Lord
, and the fire died out.
3
So that place was named Taberah, because the fire of the
Lord
burned among them.

And when the people complained, it displeased the
Lord
: and the
Lord
heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the
Lord
burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the

, the fire was quenched.

And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the

So that place was named Taberah, because the
Lord
’s fire had blazed among them.

Chapter 11

Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the
Lord
heard everything they said. Then the
Lord
’s anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.

Then the people screamed to Moses for help, and when he prayed to the
Lord
, the fire stopped.

After that, the area was known as Taberah (which means 'the place of burning'), because fire from the
Lord
had burned among them there.
