Nehemiah 9:6-9
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 9
6
You alone are the
Lord
.
You have made the heavens,
The heaven of heavens with all their lights,
The earth and everything that is on it,
The seas and everything that is in them.
You give life to all of them,
And the heavenly lights bow down before You.
7
You are the
Lord
God,
Who chose Abram
And brought him out from Ur of the Chaldees,
And gave him the name Abraham.
8
You found his heart faithful before You,
And made a covenant with him
To give
him
the land of the Canaanite,
Of the Hittite and the Amorite,
Of the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite—
To give
it
to his descendants.
And You have fulfilled Your promise,
Because You are righteous.
9
'You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt,
And heard their cry by the Red Sea.
King James Version
Chapter 9
6
Thou, even thou, art
Lord
alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
7
Thou art the
Lord
the God, who didst choose Abram, and broughtest him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gavest him the name of Abraham;
8
And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
9
And didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heardest their cry by the Red sea;

Chapter 9
6
You,
Lord
, are the only God.
You created the heavens,
the highest heavens with all their stars,
the earth and all that is on it,
the seas and all that is in them.
You give life to all of them,
and all the stars of heaven worship you.
7
You, the
Lord
,
are the God who chose Abram
and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans,
and changed his name to Abraham.
8
You found his heart faithful in your sight,
and made a covenant with him
to give the land of the Canaanites,
Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites,
Jebusites, and Girgashites—
to give it to his descendants.
You have fulfilled your promise,
for you are righteous.
9
You saw the oppression of our ancestors in Egypt
and heard their cry at the Red Sea.
New Living Translation

9
'You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.
