Nehemiah 13:14-15
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 13
14
Remember me for this, my God, and do not wipe out my loyal deeds which I have performed for the house of my God and its services.
15
In those days I saw in Judah
people
who were treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sacks of grain and loading
them
on donkeys, as well as wine, grapes, figs, and every
kind of
load, and they were bringing
them
into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. So I admonished
them
on the day they sold food.
King James Version
Chapter 13
14
Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.
15
In those days saw I in Judah
some
treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all
manner of
burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 13
14
Remember me for this, my God, and don't erase the deeds of faithful love I have done for the house of my God and for its services.
15
At that time I saw people in Judah treading winepresses on the Sabbath. They were also bringing in stores of grain and loading them on donkeys, along with wine, grapes, and figs. All kinds of goods were being brought to Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. So I warned them against selling food on that day.
New Living Translation
Chapter 13
14
Remember this good deed, O my God, and do not forget all that I have faithfully done for the Temple of my God and its services.
15
In those days I saw men of Judah treading out their winepresses on the Sabbath. They were also bringing in grain, loading it on donkeys, and bringing their wine, grapes, figs, and all sorts of produce to Jerusalem to sell on the Sabbath. So I rebuked them for selling their produce on that day.
English Standard Version
Chapter 13
14
Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.
15
In those days I saw in Judah people treading winepresses on the Sabbath, and bringing in heaps of grain and loading them on donkeys, and also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of loads, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned them on the day when they sold food.
New International Version
Chapter 13
14
Remember me for this, my God, and do not blot out what I have so faithfully done for the house of my God and its services.
15
In those days I saw people in Judah treading winepresses on the Sabbath and bringing in grain and loading it on donkeys, together with wine, grapes, figs and all other kinds of loads. And they were bringing all this into Jerusalem on the Sabbath. Therefore I warned them against selling food on that day.
New King James Version
Chapter 13
14
Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for its services!
15
In those days I saw
people
in Judah treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and loading donkeys with wine, grapes, figs, and all
kinds of
burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. And I warned
them
about the day on which they were selling provisions.
