New American Standard Bible
Chapter 1
12
This is what the
Lord
says:
'Though
they are at
full
strength
and so
they are
many,
So also they will be cut off and pass away.
Though I have afflicted you,
I will afflict you no longer.
13
So now, I will break his yoke from upon you,
And I will tear your shackles to pieces.'
King James Version
Chapter 1
12
Thus saith the LORD; Though
they be
quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
13
For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 1
12
This is what the Lord says: Though they are strong and numerous, they will still be mowed down, and he will pass away. Though I have punished you, I will punish you no longer.
13
For I will now break off his yoke from you and tear off your shackles.
New Living Translation
Chapter 1
12
This is what the
Lord
says:
'Though the Assyrians have many allies,
they will be destroyed and disappear.
O my people, I have punished you before,
but I will not punish you again.
13
Now I will break the yoke of bondage from your neck
and tear off the chains of Assyrian oppression.'
English Standard Version
Chapter 1
12
Thus says the LORD, “Though they are at full strength and many, they will be cut down and pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.
13
And now I will break his yoke from off you and will burst your bonds apart.”
New International Version
Chapter 1
12
This is what the LORD says: 'Although they have allies and are numerous, they will be destroyed and pass away. Although I have afflicted you, Judah, I will afflict you no more.
13
Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away.'
New King James Version
Chapter 1
12
Thus says the
Lord
:
“Though
they are
safe, and likewise many,
Yet in this manner they will be cut down
When he passes through.
Though I have afflicted you,
I will afflict you no more;
13
For now I will break off his yoke from you,
And burst your bonds apart.”
