The mourning of Beth-ezel: 'He will take from you its support.' 12For the inhabitant of Maroth Waits for something good, Because a disaster has come down from the Lord To the gate of Jerusalem. 13Harness the chariot to the team of horses, You inhabitant of Lachish— She was the beginning of sin To the daughter of Zion— Because in you were found The rebellious acts of Israel. 14Therefore you will give parting gifts In behalf of Moresheth-gath; The houses of Achzib will become a deception To the kings of Israel. 15Moreover, I will bring on you The one who takes possession, You inhabitant of Mareshah. The glory of Israel will enter Adullam.King James Version
Chapter 1
10Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust. 11Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel; he shall receive of you his standing. 12For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem. 13O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee. 14Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moreshethgath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel. 15Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 1
10Don't announce it in Gath, don't weep at all. Roll in the dust in Beth-leaphrah. 11Depart in shameful nakedness, you residents of Shaphir; the residents of Zaanan will not come out. Beth-ezel is lamenting; its support is taken from you. 12Though the residents of Maroth anxiously wait for something good, disaster has come from the Lord to the gate of Jerusalem. 13Harness the horses to the chariot, you residents of Lachish. This was the beginning of sin for Daughter Zion because Israel's acts of rebellion can be traced to you. 14Therefore, send farewell gifts to Moresheth-gath; the houses of Achzib are a deception to the kings of Israel. 15I will again bring a conqueror against you who live in Mareshah. The nobility of Israel will come to Adullam.New Living Translation
Chapter 1
10Don’t tell our enemies in Gath ; don’t weep at all. You people in Beth-leaphrah, roll in the dust to show your despair. 11You people in Shaphir, go as captives into exile — naked and ashamed. The people of Zaanan dare not come outside their walls. The people of Beth-ezel mourn, for their house has no support. 12The people of Maroth anxiously wait for relief, but only bitterness awaits them as the Lord’s judgment reaches even to the gates of Jerusalem.
13Harness your chariot horses and flee, you people of Lachish. You were the first city in Judah to follow Israel in her rebellion, and you led Jerusalem into sin.
14Send farewell gifts to Moresheth-gath ; there is no hope of saving it. The town of Aczib has deceived the kings of Israel.
15O people of Mareshah, I will bring a conqueror to capture your town. And the leaders of Israel will go to Adullam.

Chapter 1
10Tell it not in Gath; weep not at all. In Beth Ophrah roll in the dust. 11Pass by naked and in shame, you who live in Shaphir. Those who live in Zaanan will not come out. Beth Ezel is in mourning; it no longer protects you. 12Those who live in Maroth writhe in pain, waiting for relief, because disaster has come from the LORD, even to the gate of Jerusalem. 13You who live in Lachish, harness fast horses to the chariot. You are where the sin of Daughter Zion began, for the transgressions of Israel were found in you. 14Therefore you will give parting gifts to Moresheth Gath. The town of Akzib will prove deceptive to the kings of Israel. 15I will bring a conqueror against you who live in Mareshah. The nobles of Israel will flee to Adullam.New King James Version
