Matthew 25:26-31
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
26But his master answered and said to him, ‘You worthless, lazy slave! Did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter seed? 27Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. 28Therefore: take the talent away from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’King James Version
Chapter 25
26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 25
26"His master replied to him, 'You evil, lazy servant! If you knew that I reap where I haven't sown and gather where I haven't scattered, 27then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and I would have received my money back with interest when I returned.
28" 'So take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.
29For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have more than enough. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
30And throw this good-for-nothing servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
New Living Translation
Chapter 25
26But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate, 27why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’
28Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver.
29To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
30Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Chapter 25
26But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? 27Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28So take the talent from him and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’New International Version
Chapter 25
26His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
28'So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.
29For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.
30And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
